Giovanni Ertl, also known by his nickname Jacob Boghty, or JB for short, is a German Personal Trainer who participated in the regular Ninja Warrior Germany Seasons 3-6 & 8 and Ninja Warrior Germany All-Stars 1 & 2. In the regular competitions of Ninja Warrior Germany, Giovanni Ertl is considered as one of the most successful and skillful competitors, and since his newcomer performance in his debut season, Giovanni Ertl evolved from one of the rising underdogs of Ninja Warrior Germany to one of the fan-favourites of the show. And even though his early Ninja Warrior Germany career saw a rather rough start, as he did not manage to reach the Finals in both Ninja Warrior Germany 3 and Ninja Warrior Germany 4, his success in the follwoing Ninja Warrior Germany Seasons 5 and 6 was great, as Giovanni Ertl managed to reach the third obstacle of the Third Stage, the Crazy Cliffhanger, and achieved a 4th place finish overall in both of these seasons.
