Galleon (ガリオン) was the first obstacle in the Second Adventure Stage in the first three VIKING tournaments. It was the only obstacle that have modifications in every tournaments it appeared in, however, despite showing potential to be a threatening obstacle, it was removed in VIKING 4 due to the change of format.
The obstacle consisted of carrying a yoke, with weights hanging at either end, on the competitor's shoulders. The competitor must cross a rotating Y-shaped bridge that was 30 cm wide to get to the other side, where they then remove the weights to continue.
In VIKING 1, the weights weighed 35 kg and the bridge rotate quite fast. After seeing competitors struggle on it (even resulted in TERU disqualified for dropping yoke to the water), the producers decided to lowered the weights to 25 kg and toned down the speed of the rotation, however it create disadvantage of competitors having to wait for the path to be close to the platform. In VIKING 3, the speed of the rotation was toned up again, though not as fast as in VIKING 1, as well as changing the aesthetic of the obstacle.
Later, a smaller variant of this obstacle (named the Shoulder Walk) would appear as the sixth and final obstacle in SASUKE 18's Second Stage, replacing Wall Lifting.
