Gabe Nunez was a 26-year old stuntman, freerunner, and avid martial artist who competed on American Ninja Warrior.
Gabe started very strong early, getting to the Pipe Slider in under twenty seconds. However, on the Pipe Slider, he began to have trouble with momentum, as well as the fact the bar kept sliding backwards due to the lack of friction the metal had. Eventually, through brute strength, he cleared and raced up the wall to hit the button at 45.6 seconds, just 3/10 of a second behind Sean Morris.
In the semi-finals, he put up a much cleaner run, blazing through the entire course despite a hiccup on the Tarzan Rope, like many that day. However, despite putting up a good time of 1:50.9 minutes, he missed out on a spot in the semi-finals by just 1.9 seconds, placing 16th overall and not moving on.
