Francisco Barajas is a professional wrestler known as the One-Percent Ninja who first competed in American Ninja Warrior 11. He also has a stutter, which causes him to repeat certain letters in talking.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
He first competed in Los Angeles for his first season. His run was cut, but he was one of 13 to go out on the third obstacle, Spring Forward. His pace did not make the top 30 at the end of the round.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Francisco was originally supposed to compete in Los Angeles for American Ninja Warrior 12, having gotten the call to do so. However, he was unable to do so due to the pandemic postponing the competition. Likely to make up for this, he competed in American Ninja Warrior 13.
He competed in the second episode of qualifying, where his run was all cut, but he failed the fourth obstacle, Tipping Point. This time, however, he went at a faster pace, enough to place 25th overall and advance to the semifinals.
Barajas competed in the third episode of the Semi-Finals, along with his training partners, Jose Gomez and Brian Montagnese. He made it the farthest out of all of them, making it to Padlock before falling. He was able to make it into the top 15, placing 13th.
In the national finals, his run on Stage One was digested, but it was shown that he failed the Double Dipper, ending his sophomore season.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Francisco competed in the fifth episode of qualifying. His qualifying run was all cut once again, but he was one of several to fail the fifth obstacle, Final Frontier, bettering his qualifying performances from the previous two seasons. He additionally did make the top 30 as well, placing 27th overall.
He later competed in the second episode of semifinals. His run there was digested, but he failed on Box Office, once again going out on the eighth obstacle. He placed 9th overall, earning his second straight trip to the national finals.
In the national finals, his run on Stage One was cut, but he made it past the third obstacle this time around. He later failed on the fifth obstacle, Tetherball.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Francisco returned for the seventh round of qualifying. His run was digested, marking the first time his run was shown in qualifying. He made short work of the first three obstacles, but just like season 13, he failed the fourth obstacle, going out on Duck Duck Goose. He still advanced to the semifinals by placing 9th overall.
Francisco later competed in the final semifinal episode, where he raced against Kyle Soderman. The race was digested, but Kyle had the lead before he surprisingly failed on Spin Hopper, giving Francisco a chance to win. Unfortunately he was too sick to complete the obstacle and also failed there, losing the race. This marked his first time not making it to the national finals since season 11 and also the first time that he was eliminated in the semifinals.
