Ian Dory is a farmer and rock climber who is part of the Wolf Pack in Denver, Colorado.
American Ninja Warrior 6[]
Ian Dory made his debut on season 6 of American Ninja Warrior at the Denver Qualifiers. Ian completed the qualifying round and placed 21st. Then, he completed the Semi Finals. Ian finished with the 4th fastest time.
Upon arriving at Vegas for the national finals, he, Brian Arnold, Isaac Caldiero, and Noah Kaufman all formed an alliance called the Wolf Pack, because they are rock climbers from the Denver area, and they believe one of them will achieve Total Victory. Ian completed Stage One with the 4th Fastest time along with the rest of the Wolf Pack. Then on Stage 2, after seeing the rest of the Wolf Pack fall, Ian was the last remaining hope for the Wolf Pack. Ian preformed well but let go of the Metal Spin too late and fell. Out of the whole Wolf Pack, Ian performed the best.
American Ninja Warrior 7[]

Ian and the Wolf Pack then competed on American Ninja Warrior 7 in the Kansas City region. Ian finished the Qualifying Round in 2:40:23 and placed 26th along with the rest of the Wolf Pack.
After seeing two of his fellow members fall on the Body Prop, he was anticipated to complete the obstacle. Further pressure was put on him as he made it to the obstacle at a time just outside the top 15. However, Dory rose to the occasion, and finished the city finals course, becoming the only Wolf Pack member to do so. He finished 2nd out of the three finishers in Kansas City.
In the Vegas finals, his run was digested but it was shown that he cleared Stage One. His clearance marked a record for the most Stage One finishes as 38 cleared the stage. In Stage Two, Ian made it to the new Roulette Row, where he was one of the eight people to clear it, and completed Stage Two to advance to Stage Three. He was one of only 3 competitors (other two were Joe Moravsky and Geoff Britten) to complete all City Qualifying/Finals, & Stages 1 & 2 in the same season. He made it to the Flying Bar, where he made it to the fourth rung before he lost his grip and failed the obstacle. He ultimately went the third farthest in the competition, just barely missing out from the other two in the final stage.
Ian Dory's Stage 2 Run - American Ninja Warrior
Dory is one of the five representatives for Team USA in the third American Ninja Warrior International Competition. He ran on Stage 3 against Japan's Kawaguchi Tomohiro and Europe's Alexander Mars during the first heat, and won 3 points for Team USA for repeating his performance all the way to the Flying Bar, besting the other two.
American Ninja Warrior 8[]
Dory competed again in American Ninja Warrior 8 placing 6th in the Indianapolis qualifying course. He had a close call on the Disk Runner, nearly stumbling completely in the center of the first disk, but managed to get past it and complete it. He had no problem on any of the other obstacles, and ultimately climbed up the Invisible Ladder and continued his streak of finishing the city finals.
In Stage 1 in Las Vegas finals, Ian felt prepared this was his year, so it shocked people when he failed the second obstacle in Stage 1, the Propeller Bar.
Ian Dory Conquers The 2016 Indianapolis Finals - American Ninja Warrior
American Ninja Warrior 9[]
After his disappointing season, Dory returned season nine and competed at the Denver qualifiers. He performed very well and finished the qualifying course with the third fastest time.
In the city finals, he was one of only three competitors to complete The Wedge but not without coming close to tapping the water with his foot on the dismount. He recovered and eventually became the only person to finish the Ninjago Roll. Ian continued his streak of city finals clears as he was the only competitor to finish the finals course, finishing in 6:56.33. As a result, Ian placed 1st and advanced to the national finals. Overall, Ian was one of just nine athletes that completed a city finals course that season.
His run on Stage 1 was digested but it was shown that he finished the course with 7.34 seconds left and advanced to Stage 2. In stage 2, Dory was the first runner shown. He misjudged his jump to the beam of the Swing Surfer ultimately causing him to fail.

American Ninja Warrior 10[]
Ian returned to compete in Minneapolis in American Ninja Warrior 10. His run was digested in qualifying but it was shown that he attempted the Mega Wall, but failed to complete it. he still cleared the course, finishing in 12th place.
In the city finals, his run was digested again, but he was able to clear the city finals course for a fifth time in a row and advanced to the national finals once again as well.
His run on Stage 1 was once again digested, but it was shown that he nearly stumbled on the Propeller Bar again. Though he was able to save himself, this had caused problems as it delayed time and caused him to rush. Two obstacles later, this shockingly led to another stage 1 fall, in which he failed the Jumping Spider.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
In Season 11, he came back to compete in Cincinnati. Although his run was all cut, it was revealed he had shockingly failed the Spinning Bridge, in which he was disqualified for tapping the obstacle with his hands. Ultimately, this made it the very first time he failed to make it to Vegas, let alone the city finals. This also ended his streak of consecutive qualifying/city finals buzzers, as he hit both in every season prior to his elimination.
American Ninja Warrior 15[]
Ian returned after a three season absence to compete in the third qualifying episode. Although his run was digested, Ian got revenge on the balance obstacle, this time being Log Runner and made it all the way to the fifth obstacle where he failed the Lasso Launch. Even though this was his second time failing the qualifying round, this time he went far enough to place 7th overall and move onto the semifinals.
Dory raced Jonathan Bange in the semifinals. Unfortunately for Dory, he had an unexpected fail on Sideways, making it the first time he fell during the semifinals. Bange completed Sideways and later hit the buzzer. This meant that Ian didn't advance to Vegas for the second time, thus ending his comeback season.
