Downhill Jump (ダウンヒルジャンプ) was a Second Stage obstacle that was introduced as part of the course's renewal in SASUKE 18, following Nagano Makoto's Kanzenseiha in the previous tournament. It replaced Chain Reaction that had been in Second Stage since SASUKE 7.
Similar to Daichoyaku used in KUNOICHI 2001 to KUNOICHI 2009, competitors must slide down a track while standing on a snowboard-like object in order to gain enough momentum to make a jump to a rope attached to a zip line at the end of the track, before land on a floating mat in front of the rope. During the English broadcasts of SASUKE 19, this obstacle was mistakenly called Super Jump, which was the translation given for Daichoyaku.

It underwent a series of minor changes in its lifespan:
- In SASUKE 18, the rope stopped much shorter than the rest of the tournaments, requiring competitors to use their momentum to reach the landing pad.
- In SASUKE 19 and every tournament afterwards, except SASUKE 20, the rope stopped much closer to the mat, even allowing competitors to hold onto the rope, swing back, and land. For SASUKE 19 only, the rope moved at a much lower velocity than in all other versions.
- In SASUKE 20, the track was positioned at a greater angle, thus the board moved much faster than in other versions.

During its overall appearances in SASUKE, only two competitors failed on this obstacle, Nagano Makoto in SASUKE 20 and Shiratori Bunpei in SASUKE 21, both coincidentally SASUKE All-Stars, making this one of three obstacles in SASUKE'S history to only eliminate All-Stars, the others being Hang Climbing and Climbing Bars, and the only obstacle to do so while taking out multiple All-Stars. However, after Urushihara Yuuji's Kanzenseiha in SASUKE 24, it was replaced by Slider Drop in SASUKE 25.

American Ninja Warrior 5's Downhill Jump in Baltimore
Downhill Jump appeared as the second obstacle in American Ninja Warrior 5 in Baltimore, with a shorter track, a smaller gap between the rope and the landing platform, and a longer rope.
However, the obstacle was more brutal than in SASUKE, as several competitors who failed on this obstacle either lost their balance while standing and sliding the board onto a track, or grabbed the rope too low, resulting in their feet touching the water.
