Favia Dubyk is a cancer specialist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was diagnosed with advanced stage lymphoma in her third year of medical school, after doctors have spectated an 11-centimeter tumor growing in her. She later became a cancer survivor, after the tumor started to shrink. She later competed on American Ninja Warrior sharing her survival journey.
She is known by many as Dr. Scream for her passionate and energetic screams on the course.

She competed in Dallas, where she made it past the Floating Steps. However, she came up just short on Catch and Release. She was ultimately awarded a standing ovation for her determination to make it to the second obstacle.

She returned in Oklahoma City. Although her run was fast-forwarded, she improved upon her previous performance, making it all the way to the fourth obstacle, the Diving Boards, before tumbling into the water.
