Evan Andrews is a teen from Montana who previously competed on the first season of American Ninja Warrior Junior. He's also the boyfriend of fellow ANW competitor, Anna McArthur.

American Ninja Warrior Junior[]

Evan first competed on American Ninja Warrior Junior. His runs were shown in the second qualifying episode. In the seeding round, he lost to Analise Grady. Yet in the knockout round, he defeated Maya Grudman to advance to the final showdown. Unfortunately, he lost that race in a rematch against Analise Grady, eliminating him.

American Ninja Warrior 14[]

He then competed on American Ninja Warrior 14 in the last qualifying episode. His run was digested, but it looked like he was going to finish the course in his rookie debut with the fastest time, but instead, he fell on the last move of the fifth obstacle, Final Frontier. Still, his fast pace ranked him 19th overall, advancing him to the semifinals.

He later competed in the second semifinals episode. There, he powered through the course and was one of only three competitors to survive Box Office. He slowed down a bit at the Spider Trap, but was still able to become the only one to finish the course that night. He placed 1st and took on Josiah Singleton on the Power Tower. He lost the race after getting hung up on the ropes and missed out on the Safety Pass. Nonetheless, he still advanced to the national finals in his rookie season.

At the national finals, his run on Stage One was digested, but he finished with over 40 seconds left. On Stage Two, he had no issues with the first three obstacles, but he struggled on Hammer Drop. This came back to bite him when he failed the next obstacle, Hornet's Nest; his left hand slipped off as he was trying to transition to the last honeycomb. His impressive rookie season came to an unfortunate end.

American Ninja Warrior 15[]

Evan returned for his second season, competing in the first qualifying episode. His run was digested, but he once again failed the fifth obstacle, this time being Lasso Launch. However, his fast time to that point meant he was able to advance to the semifinals once again, placing 7th.

He later competed in the second semifinals episode, where he raced David Campbell. Evan had the lead and he made it to the buzzer before Campbell did, advancing him to the national finals for his second straight season.

Evan blew through Stage One, finishing with 48.59 seconds left, earning him the #2 seed for Stage Two. Unfortunately, he shockingly failed on Jawbreakers in his race against Jonathan Bange, and his season ended there.

He wasnโ€™t chosen to compete in American Ninja Warrior 16 and also didn't compete in American Ninja Warrior 17 due to being on a mission trip.

Trivia[]

  • Evan is the third competitor to be the only finisher on a city finals/semifinals course as a rookie after Nicholas Coolridge in ANW 7 in Venice Beach and Josh Levin in ANW 8 in the Los Angeles.
  • Evan and Kaden Lebsack are the first #2 seeds in Vegas to be eliminated by the #23 seed and #25 seed respectively, ironically they both failed Jawbreakers.
