Ethan Gardulski is a teen from Michigan. He suffers from anxiety, and is mainly inspired by ANW competitor Philip Scott, who also suffers from anxiety.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Ethan first competed in the third qualifying episode. There, he put up one of the most memorable runs of qualifying. He was the first competitor shown to have attempted Burn Rubber at Split Decision, and he cleared it. He went on to clear the course in his rookie debut in 11th place.
He later competed in the third semifinals episode. His run there was digested, but he was one of many to fail the third obstacle, Clockwork, when he lost his grip on the second bar when it came down on him, ending his rookie season.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Ethan returned for his sophomore season in ANW 16. He participated in the fifth qualifying round. He once again completed the qualifying course, doing so in 8th place.
He later competed in the first semifinals episode, racing against his good friend Max Feinberg. Ethan was ahead of most of the race but he ultimately failed on Spin Hopper while Max past him to clear the course, once again ending his season in the semifinals but not before displaying sportsmanship by shaking his opponent's hand before Max pressed the buzzer.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Ethan returned for his third season in ANW 17. He participated in the third qualifying round. He was the first to clear the course in his round, this time doing so with the fourth fastest time, and marking his third straight qualifying buzzer.
Ethan later competed in the last semifinal episode. His run there was digested, but he made it to the back half for the first time. It didn't last long however, as he failed on the Salmon Ladder, marking the third straight season in which he was eliminated during the semifinals. This is his best season to date.
Ethan sadly didn’t compete in American Ninja Warrior 18.
