Drew Nester is an Army medic and Ninja coach from Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Drew originally got the call to compete on American Ninja Warrior 13 but he wasn't able to because of his deployment. Drew called for this season however and he was able to compete in the third qualifying episode. There, he had a great save on the Log Runner and he managed to pull himself up from touching the water. His run later ended at the fifth obstacle, Salmon Roll, and he placed 28th overall.
He later competed in the third semifinals episode. There he cleared the first eight obstacles with ease. Then at Split Decision he chose to do the Diving Boards which he ended up falling. He placed 10th overall, advancing him to the national finals.
His run at the national finals was cut, but he was shown on Three Ring Circus as a demonstration. On Stage 1, he was one of many who failed the Jumping Spider.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Drew returned to compete in American Ninja Warrior 16, during the fifth qualifying round. His run was digested, but he cleared the course, getting his first ANW buzzer. He placed 9th on the men's leaderboard.
Drew competed in the first semifinals episode, where he raced against Luke Beckstrand. The race was digested, but Drew lost the race after falling on Sideways and he didn't advance to the national finals this time around.
