Drew Marinelli is a handyman from Chicago who is known as the "Axe Ninja".
American Ninja Warrior 6[]
Drew first competed in St. Louis in season 6. He was one of several to fail the Double Tilt Ladder and did not move on. It was briefly revealed on broadcast that he made it to the obstacle, but his actual run was completely cut from broadcast.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
After missing the next four seasons, he competed in American Ninja Warrior 11 in Cincinnati. There, he made it to the Wingnuts, but that still was not enough for him to advance to the semifinals.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
He later competed in American Ninja Warrior 14 in the third qualifying episode. His run was once again cut, but it was later revealed that he failed the Kickboards.
American Ninja Warrior 15[]
He returned to compete in the fifth qualifying round. His run was digested, but it was shown that he failed The Getaway. He was the fastest to this point, so he placed 12th and advanced to the Runoffs as seeded ninja, where he raced James Wilson for a spot in the semifinals. He had the lead, but later fell on the third honeycomb on the Beehive, and since Wilson cleared the obstacle by making a one-handed save on the last honeycomb, Marinelli was once again eliminated in the qualifiers.
