The Door Rider is an obstacle, firstly introduced in Ninja Warrior UK 1 as the second obstacle in Heat 4.
Competitors must slide down on the door (similar to the one used on Floating Boards, except that it has a window on it, has a few indents for grip, and is parallel to the rest of the course) on a track with one bump, keeping to its side edges and then jumping down to the landing platform.
Other Appearances[]
Ninja Warrior Austria[]
On Ninja Warrior Austria 1, Door Rider appeared as the second obstacle of Heat 3. It reused the same design as the original Ninja Warrior UK version - It has a metal track with one drop in the middle, and a stopper halfway through the second section.
Ninja Warrior Poland[]
On Ninja Warrior Poland 4, the Door Rider, locally called Zjazd na Drzwiach (literally Door Descent) appeared as the second obstacle in Heat 3 and Heat 5, which was similar to the one used in Ninja Warrior UK, except that the obstacle uses the same 8m metal track with one drop from every other zipline/slider obstacle across Ninja Warrior Poland.
Then, on Ninja Warrior Poland 5, the Door Rider appeared as the second obstacle during Heat 3 and Heat 5, which was same as the one used in the previous season.
Ninja Warrior Russia[]
On Ninja Warrior Russia 3, the Door Rider, locally called ะะฒะตัะฝะพะน ะัะพะปัั (literally Door Span) appeared as the second obstacle in Heat 6, which was very similar to the one used in Ninja Warrior Poland 4.
Trivia[]
- The obstacle is one of the few instances that are known to be created by an international show itself and is not based on obstacle replicas from other competitions such as American Ninja Warrior, SASUKE, and KUNOICHI.
- This obstacle, along with the Cargo Net Rider, marks the first time that two brand new original obstacles appear in the same season.
