Diego then went up against Sean McColl again and the USA team captain Drew Drechsel in the third and final heat on Stage Three. While Sean failed the Curved Body Prop due to fatigue, Diego took a slower and steadier approach on the course and cleared the first five obstacles (Keylock Hang, Floating Boards, Ultimate Cliffhanger, Curved Body Prop, and Hang Climb). in 6:11.26. he winded up falling on the Walking Bar and lost the heat to Drew Drechsel who finished the course altogether.
