Devan Alexander is a high school student from Danbury, Connecticut.
American Ninja Warrior Junior 2[]
Devan first competed on American Ninja Warrior Junior 2 in the 13-14 age division. His Qualifying runs were shown in the second Qualifying episode. In his seeding race against Nate Pardo, he failed on the Little Dipper. But in the knockout round, he defeated Molly Haywood and advanced to the final showdown. There, in a rematch against Nate Pardo, he shocked everyone by winning the race, defeating the previous year's runner-up.
Devan's Quarterfinal runs were shown in the first Quarterfinals episode. His first race was against Cal Plohoros, who had one of the fastest times in the entire competition at that point. However, Cal shockingly failed the Sky Hooks, sending Devan to the next round. Then, Devan faced Carson Edwards in his second Quarterfinal race. Carson ended up failing Block Run, so Devan won both the race and a spot in the Finals.
In the Finals, he faced Vance Walker, the previous year's champion. Both athletes finished the course; however, Vance reached the buzzer first, ending Devan's run for the championship. Still, Devan's performance was good enough to earn him third place overall, an incredible performance in a 13-14 division filled with speedy ninjas.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Due to his success on American Ninja Warrior Junior, Devan was invited to compete on American Ninja Warrior 13. In the fourth qualifying round, his run was cut, but he failed the fifth obstacle, Pretzel Twist. Still, because of his fast time to the obstacle, he advanced to the semifinals by placing 15th. In the fourth semifinals round, he failed the ninth obstacle, The Dungeon. Yet once again, his fast time to the obstacle caused him to advance to the Las Vegas Finals. by placing 13th Unfortunately, he failed the Jumping Spider on Stage One, ending his rookie season.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Devan returned to compete on American Ninja Warrior 14 in the third qualifying episode. His run was digested, but he made it past the fifth obstacle this time around, clearing the Salmon Roll and later the whole course, hitting his first buzzer in 7th place that round. He later competed in the third semifinals episode. His run there was also digested, but he surprisingly failed on Diamond Dash (which he cleared during last years semifinals), the fourth obstacle, and as a result he did not advance back to the national finals, as he placed 25th overall at the end of the night.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Devan returned for his third season in the fourth qualifiers. His run was digested, but he surprisingly failed on the third obstacle, the Spin Bridge, once again ending his season on a balance obstacle and also making the first time that he didn't advance to the semifinals.
