David “D-Wom” Womelsdorf is a pastor from Chicago, Illinois.
American Ninja Warrior 10[]
He first competed in Indianapolis, where his qualifying run was all cut, but he fell on the Spin Hopper. However, he made it to the obstacle at a pace enough to guarantee him 22nd place overall.
In the city finals, Womelsdorf once again failed the same obstacle, once again flipping off the Spin Hopper. He placed 19th at the end of the night, and therefore didn't make it to the national finals.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
He returned in Cincinnati this season, where his run was cut, but in qualifying, he failed the Slingshot and placed 17th overall. Unfortunately, he failed the same obstacle again in the city finals, meaning that he placed 17th again in the city finals and missed out on going to Vegas again. This also became his fourth consecutive fall on the fifth obstacle.
American Ninja Warrior 12[]
He returned to compete again this season, this time being selected by the Papal Ninja, Sean Bryan. He also competed alongside with another pastor/priest, Father Stephen Gadberry. His qualifying run was digested, but it was shown he failed Beehive. Unfortunately, he did not advance to the semifinals this time, as his leader, Sean Bryan, lost against R.J. Roman in the Power Tower. This also marked the first time he did not attempt the fifth obstacle of a course.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
He returned in the third episode of qualifying this season. His run was cut from the broadcast, but he fell on Kickboards, ending his season.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
David returned for his fifth season. He competed on the third qualifier. But just like last time, he failed the fourth obstacle, this time Heavy Metal, and his season once again ended there as he didn't make it fast enough to make the top 13.
