Danell Leyva is an Olympic gymnast who was originally born in Cuba. He has received Bronze in the 2012 London Olympic Games in All-Around, and has additionally received Silver in both the Parallel Bars and Horizontal Bar in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. He would later participate in American Ninja Warrior, debuting in American Ninja Warrior 11.

He competed in Los Angeles for ANW 11, where he successfully cleared the course with the fourth fastest time. He went straight for the normal 14.5-foot Warped Wall.
