Coin Flip is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the seventh obstacle in Stage One on American Ninja Warrior 7, replacing the Spinning Bridge from the past three American Ninja Warrior seasons.
Competitors must run across three free-floating coin disks, while maintaining their balance, in order to reach the landing platform. The middle coin was lower than the other two coins, causing trouble for some competitors when they were leaping to the third coin. Not landing on the center of the coins would cause it to flip forward or backward.
Although only two competitors failed on this obstacle, it was notable for eliminating David Campbell (in a similar fashion with his Spinning Bridge fall on American Ninja Warrior 4), making it his fourth consecutive Stage One failure since American Ninja Warrior 4, which eventually would end on American Ninja Warrior 9. It also eliminated Justin Gielski, who tumbled down. Like the Triple Swing, the obstacle was only used once, and was replaced by the Broken Bridge on the next season.
A similar obstacle to the Coin Flip (called as the Diamond Dash) would later appear as the fourth obstacle on American Ninja Warrior 10 in Minneapolis and American Ninja Warrior 11 in Los Angeles, except the disks' shape was changed to diamond and the number of disks was increased to four.
Other Appearances[]
Ninja Warrior Germany[]
On Ninja Warrior Germany 2, Coin Flip, locally called Chaosteller (literally Chaos Plates), appeared as the seventh obstacle in the Semi-finals. There were once again three coins, all placed on the same height.
On Ninja Warrior Germany 4, Coin Flip appeared as the third obstacle in Preliminary Round 7. There were four coins.
Ninja Warrior UK[]
The Coin Flip appeared as the third obstacle in the finals' Stage 1 on Ninja Warrior UK 3. All competitors who attempted the obstacle could complete it.
Then, the obstacle appeared again as the third obstacle in Heat 2 and Heat 4 on Ninja Warrior UK. This time, the number of Ninja Warrior Germany 2's Coin Flipcoins was increased to four and they were arranged on the same level.
The next year, it reappeared in Heat 2 on Ninja Warrior UK 5. But the coins had varying heights.
Ninja Warrior Poland[]
In Ninja Warrior Poland, the Coin Flip, locally called Ruchome Monety (literally Floating Coins) appeared as the third obstacle of most Heats (except for Heat 2 and Heat 6). The obstacle consisted of three coins. Similar to American Ninja Warrior 7, the center coin was suspended lower than the others as usual, making it difficult to jump.
Then in Ninja Warrior Poland 4, Coin Flip (Monety) appeared as the second obstacle in the semi-finals, replacing I-Beam Cross. This time the middle coin was suspended higher than the first and second.
Later, in Ninja Warrior Poland 7, the Coin Flip reappeared as the first obstacle in the Semi-finals, replacing Broken Bridge from the previous season, bringing back the version from the first season.
In Ninja Warrior Poland 9, the Coin Flip reappeared as the first obstacle in the Semi-finals. The third coin now placed in the same height of the first coin.
Ninja Israel[]
On Ninja Israel 1, 3, and 4, the Coin Flip, locally called גשר המטבעות (literally Coin Bridge), appeared as the third obstacle in several heats. Similar to Ninja Warrior UK 4, the obstacle consisted of four coins. The obstacle also appeared as the third obstacle on the Finals' Stage One of the first season with several modifications for the coins.
Later, on Ninja Israel 5, the Coin Flip appeared as the fourth obstacle in Heats 4 and 10, and the fifth obstacle in Semifinal 2 and Semifinal 4 with a similar configuration to Ninja Warrior Poland 4, where the second coin was suspended higher than the others.

- Spinning Bridge was used on American Ninja Warrior 9 in San Antonio,
- Broken Bridge was used on American Ninja Warrior 9 in Daytona Beach,
- Razor Beams is a modification of Razor's Edge, used on American Ninja Warrior 9 in Cleveland, and
- Diving Boards was used on American Ninja Warrior 11 in Oklahoma City.
