Clay Raterman is a student and football star from Ohio State University. He first participated in Team Ninja Warrior: College Madness, but did not start on the regular season of ANW until season 11.
He is currently dating fellow competitor Taylor Amann.
Team Ninja Warrior: College Madness[]
He was a member of the Ohio State Buckeyes, where he competed along with Brynn Schlemitz and his brother, CJ Raterman. Their team was featured on the fourth episode of the qualifying round, where the lost against the Maryland Terrapins in the sudden death match.
Against the Maryland Terrapins, Clay himself had a very close match with opponent Kevin Merrick. They both hit the buzzer at nearly the same time, but it was declared that Merrick beat him by just 0.11 of a second.
This competition was also where he first met Taylor Amann, who was part of the Wisconsin Badgers. Her team won the competition.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
He debuted his regular season in ANW 11. He competed in Oklahoma City, but fell short on the second obstacle, the Wing Swing. However, he was shown on the sidelines supporting his girlfriend Taylor Amann.
