Christian Youst is a high school student. Prior to competing on American Ninja Warrior, he was seen supporting the ninjas on American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. The World 5 during Stage Two.
American Ninja Warrior Junior[]
Christian competed on the first season of American Ninja Warrior Junior. In the seeding round, he faced Vance Walker, but lost by 0.2 seconds. However, in the knockout round, he won against Evan Wenzinger, sending him to the final showdown. But there, he lost the rematch against Vance Walker, and his season ended there.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Youst then competed on ANW13, in the first episode of qualifying. There, he failed V Formation, but placed 8th and moved on to the Semi-Finals. He competed in the first episode of Semi-Finals and was the first runner of the episode. He made it to Split Decision, where he chose and failed Inverter. This was good enough to place 9th overall and advance to the National Finals.
On Stage One, he was once again the first runner shown. He made it through the first 6 obstacles, and although he pressed the button for The High Road, he opted out of it. However, time caught up to him on the Fly Hooks, where he ultimately ran out of time on the cargo net.
He also entered the American Ninja Warrior: Obstacle Design Challenge, an obstacle he submitted, named Stalactites, was chosen and used as the second obstacle in Stage Three. However, he didn't get to attempt his own obstacle, as he had failed in Stage One.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Youst returned for his second season in the fourth episode of qualifying. His run there was once again digested, but he was one of only eight competitors who got past the Final Frontier. He later went for the Mega Wall, missed it, and then he went on to hit his first ever buzzer. He placed 5th overall and once again moved on to the semifinals. He later competed in the fourth and last episode of semifinals. His run there was cut from the broadcast, but he surprisingly failed on just the third obstacle, going out on Air Surfer, and ending his season without a trip back to the national finals.
