Chris Behrends is a college student from Cedar Falls, Iowa and one half of the "Ninja Teens", alongside Levi Enright and he is also the nephew of Scott Behrends.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
He first competed as a rookie during the last qualifying episode. There, he cleared the course in his debut in 9th place and moved on to the semifinals. He later competed in the second semifinals. His run there was digested, but it was shown that he was one of many who failed on Padlock. His time to the obstacle once again placed him 9th, meaning that he moved on to the national finals. Unfortunately, he didn't get to compete at the national finals due to getting exposed to COVID-19 in Las Vegas and he was forced to withdraw.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
He returned for his second season in the third qualifying episode. There, he once again cleared course, this time doing so with the fastest time.
During the semifinals round, he competed in the third episode. There he once again made it to the eighth obstacle before going down, failing Box Office. However, because he made it there in a quick enough time, it was enough for him to place 12th overall and advance to the national finals.
This time around, he was able to compete at the national finals. His Stage One run was digested, but he failed on the Dipping Birds, the same obstacle that his training partner, Levi failed on his first run. But, since he didn't have the Safety Pass like Levi did, for Chris Behrends, his sophomore season was over.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Chris made his third appearance in season 16. After failing the Dipping Birds in season 14, he and his training partner Levi revealed that they were training extensively on balance obstacles, so that they were ready for them this season.
Chris competed in the third qualifier, where his run was digested, but he completed the course with the 3rd fastest time. He later competed in the first semifinal, where he raced against Glenn Albright. Their race was also digested, but while Glenn fell on Sideways, Chris completed the course, once again advancing him to the national finals.
On Stage One, Chris would struggle with the Jumping Spider as he had little traction between the walls of the obstacle and his footwear. This would take up a lot of time from his run, and in a last-ditch effort, Chris would rush through The Gambler and lost his grip while turning the card. His training partner Levi also failed on the same obstacle, and thus they didn't get a chance to avenge their Dipping Birds failure.
Despite making it to Stage One during the previous season, he has announced that he didnโt receive the call for American Ninja Warrior 17 but would be testing the course alongside his Ninja Teen bro, Levi Enright.
