American Ninja Warrior 14's Chop It Up
The Chop It Up is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the third obstacle in Stage Three on American Ninja Warrior 14, replacing Up for Grabs from the previous season.
The obstacle involved three sets of cylinders facing perpendicular to the competitor, with each cylinder connected to both sides to an axe-shaped counterweight mechanism that drops at a certain angle once competitors apply their weight onto it. Once competitors climb a pole before grabbing the first stationary bar, they must swing themselves to the first cylinder by wrapping their arms around the cylinder. They must repeat the process until they reach the third cylinder where they can swing themselves towards the landing platform.
In its first appearance, only Max Feinberg failed the obstacle. However, this obstacle still maintained its harshness, as several competitors such as Flip Rodriguez and Josh Levin took hits from this obstacle, mostly in the chin, impacting some of their Stage Three runs.
While it was good for draining strength, due to the low knockout rate as well as the hard hits that some competitors took, it was replaced by Slam Dunk in both American Ninja Warrior 15 and American Ninja Warrior 16.

- If the eight obstacle Stage Three course is counted then it would be the first time since Elet Hall's fail on the Floating Boards in American Ninja Warrior 6.
