Charlie competed in the second heat. His run would be digested but he cleared with the third fastest time.
In semi-finals, Charlie would face against two-time Sasuke champion, Urushihara Yuuji, where Yuuji failed Falling Shelves, allowing him to advance as he cleared in 1:49 seconds.
In the finals, Charlie would clear with slowest male time in Stage 1, but because there was less than 16 male clears in the stage, he would move on to Stage 2. In Stage 2, he cleared both sections in the stage and became one of the two rookies to advance to the Final Stage. In the Final Stage, he would be the first runner to attempt the tower but would unfortunately time out getting the sixth best result in the season.
