Ben Udy, better known by his alter ego, Chad Flexington, is an environmental researcher from Camarillo, California.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
He first debuted in American Ninja Warrior 11 in Los Angeles. In qualifying, he had a good run through the first four obstacles. However, while he seemed comfortable on the Spin Hopper, he accidentally knocked one of the pipes with his leg, causing it to spin and lie at an angle. He was unable to keep his grip from there, and splashed down. He did, however, place 19th overall and advance to the city finals.
In the city finals, Flexington got revenge on the Spin Hopper and manage to get all the way to the ninth obstacle, Leaps of Faith before falling. However, he placed 9th and qualified for the National Finals.
On Stage One, he failed the Double Dipper.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Flexington was originally supposed to compete on ANW 12. However, due to COVID-19 delays, he was one of several who were not invited to compete on the modified season. Likely to make up for unprecedented circumstances, Flexington did receive a call to compete on the next season.
He competed in the fourth round of qualifying. He had his sights set on the Mega Wall, even going as far as writing his own check for the prize. Much to his dismay, he did not get to the Mega Wall, rather going out on the fifth obstacle, Pretzel Twist. Though he couldn't cash in his self-written check, Flexington still made it far enough to place 18th overall and advance to the semifinals. In the semifinals, he fell on Padlock and didn't advance to Vegas.
