Caitlyn Bergstrom-Wright is a ninja coach and daughter of Jason Bergstrom. She is also the wife of David Bergstrom-Wright.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
She first competed in Atlanta in American Ninja Warrior 11 alongside her brother Caleb. Her run in qualifying was digested, but she made solid work of the first three obstacles but failed the Bouncing Spider. Luckily, she went at a fast pace to guarantee her 4th in the women's top 5.
During the city finals, she was able to get redemption on the Bouncing Spider, saving herself from another low grip on the pipes. However, she had trouble traversing on the Ferris Wheel, due to her light mass. She was close to completing the obstacle but failed just short of the landing pad. Her performance, however, was the best female run in the Atlanta city finals, so she placed 1st in the women's top 2. On Stage One, her run was digested, but she failed the Double Dipper.
American Ninja Warrior 12[]
Caitlyn returned for the modified Season 12, once again competing alongside her brother. Although her brother fell early in qualifying, she made it to the Ferris Wheel before failing the obstacle a second time. Still, she placed 3rd amongst the women and advanced to the semifinals. Her semifinal run was digested, but she was shown to have surprisingly failed Off the Hook despite completing it twice the previous season.
Caitlyn was originally invited to compete in American Ninja Warrior 13. Unfortunately, a few days before qualifiers were taped, she and a few others were exposed to COVID-19, forcing her to withdraw.
American Ninja Warrior 15[]
After missing the previous two seasons, Caitlyn returned to the course in American Ninja Warrior 15, newly married to fellow ninja David Wright. She was the first runner in the fourth episode and put up another strong run, advancing to the fifth obstacle, The Cubes. Her performance earned her 2nd among the women, advancing her to the semifinals.
Caitlyn raced against her sister-in-law, Ashley Bergstrom, in the final round of the semifinals. Both competitors reached Slingshot, but Ashley got there first, so Caitlyn missed out on a return trip to Vegas. It marked the first time in the series history that family members raced one another head-to-head.
American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship 4[]
Caitlyn competed in the American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship 4 where on Stage One, she made it past the third obstacle (this time being the Giant Rollercoaster which had knocked her out during the regular season), conquering the Jumping Spider but couldnโt control the rotating poker chip on The Gambler which spun her out, eliminating her early from the competition.
American Ninja Warrior: Couples Championship 2[]
David and Caitlyn also appeared in American Ninja Warrior: Couples Championship 2 where they were the first couple to clear the entire course (each of them clearing their own three obstacles) and they placed 5th moving onto the second round. In the first round on the semifinals course, David started them off going against Lisa Hair while Caitlyn went against Austin Hair, David kept the lead throughout the first three obstacles while Caitlyn was able to stay just ahead of Austin and she was able to finish the final three obstacles. In the semi-finals round, Caitlyn shockingly failed Home Run as she came up just short on the last one, ending their run at the championship.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Caitlyn returned in the final round of qualifying in American Ninja Warrior 16 alongside her husband, David Bergstrom-Wright. In a digested performance, she failed the Dangerous Waters but placed 5th advancing her to a Runoff race where she raced against Emma Pereyra where Catilyn kept the lead throughout most of the race and she made it to the buzzer, advancing her to the Semifinals.
Caitlyn later competed in the last semifinal episode where she raced against Jaleesa Himka. She stayed slightly ahead of Jaleesa for the entire race, so though they both failed on Spin Hopper since Caitlyn got there fast, she won the race and advanced to the national finals for the second time in her career.
Caitlyn's run at the national finals was digested, but similar to her previous national appearance in ANW 11, she failed on the third obstacle, going out on the transition from the first bar to the second bar on Giant Rollercoaster.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Caitlyn returned in the first round qualifying in American Ninja Warrior 17 along with her husband David. Her run was digested, but she failed the fifth obstacle, going out on Battering Ram. She placed 17th overall, once again advancing her to the semifinals.
She later competed in the first semifinals episode. There she got revenge on the Battering Ram, marking the first time that she ever got past the fifth obstacle. She later cleared her first Warped Wall and the Salmon Ladder before falling on Cannonball Alley. This marked her best run on a semifinals course to date and she advanced to the national finals for the third time in her career, placing 3rd among the women.
She later competed in the first national final episode. There, all three of her races were digested. She lost her first race against Luke Beckstrand after falling on the Floating Monkey Bars while Luke cleared the course. Then she lost her second race against Elijah Browning after falling on Piston Plunge while Elijah cleared the course, before she lost her third and last race against Jonathan Godbout after once again falling on Piston Plunge while Jonathan cleared the course, ending her season.
American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship 5[]
Caitlyn then competed in the fifth Women's Championship, which was taped during season 17. Her run in the first round was digested, but after clearing the first five obstacles, she ended up falling all three of her attempts at the Warped Wall and just missed on on getting her first ever buzzer. Nevertheless, she placed 7th overall and advanced to the second round.
In the second round, she raced against Jessie Graff and won the race after Jessie failed on the Floating Monkey Bars. She then raced against Anabella Heinrichs in the semifinals. That race was digested, but they were neck-and-neck until Anabella cleared the course while Caitlyn failed on The Clacker, eliminating her from the competition.
