Caitlin suffers from Tourette's Syndrome, which is a nervous system disorder involving repetitive movements or unwanted sounds. She has an obsession where all of her tics happen in three's.

Caitlin first competed in the Kansas City qualifying round of American Ninja Warrior 7, where she put up an impressive run, fighting all the way to the fourth obstacle, the Modified Ring Toss. Despite this, she was given a wildcard for Vegas. Her Vegas run wasn't fully shown on broadcast, but in the second Vegas Finals episode, when Kristine Leahy was given an overview of the Propeller Bar, Caitlin Shukwit was shown to have a bad grip on the Propeller and flipped into the water.
American Ninja Warrior 8[]
Her second appearance was in Philadelphia for American Ninja Warrior 8, but she unfortunately fell on the Paddle Boards. However, she didn't get a wildcard for Vegas.
