Caine Sinclair (ケイン・シンクレア) also known as Caine "Sugar" Sinclair, is a free runner, and former member of Team Tempest Free Running, who qualified for SASUKE 23 as the #6 qualifier through American Ninja Warrior, the United States' qualifying competition. In the tournament, he performed well. He struggled on the Jumping Spider as he had trouble getting his shoes to stick to the walls. He said that the obstacle was "90% arms". This cost him valuable time, as he reached the Tarzan Rope with only 14 seconds left. As he raced up the Rope Ladder, he was fighting against the clock. He had both feet on the platform when time expired. He is the closest person in the Shin-SASUKE era to miss clearing the First Stage.
He went into American Ninja Warrior 2 as one of the favorite competitors. Caine cleared the qualifying round flawlessly, landing in 14th place. In the Semi-Finals, he moved at a slower pace than qualifying as he was attempting to finish the entire course, especially employing this philosophy on the Salmon Ladder. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to maintain his upper-body strength, and shockingly failed to transition to the fifth rung, not moving on to Boot Camp due to his slow time. He placed 22nd overall.
Caine competed in American Ninja Warrior 3. His run was all-cut, but he completed the qualifiers, but wasn't in the top 30. His time and place in the leaderboard was unknown.
In American Ninja Warrior 4 he failed the Soritatsu Kabe in the Qualifiers. However, his region had only 26 people finish the course and he made it through the Devil Steps in the fastest time, landing him in 27th place. In the Southwest Finals, he started strong, but failed at the Arm Rings, back-flipping into the water when he lost his grip. The last runner to go was none other than Brent Steffensen. He had to beat his time to the arm rings in order to take him out. Although Brent almost failed the warped wall taking 2 times on it. He managed to get pass with his final attempt and unfortunately, Caine just missed out on Vegas, placing 16th overall and failing to move on. He has not competed on the show ever since.
