Brandon Smith is a firefighter from Clearwater, Florida. Smith has competed on three seasons of American Ninja Warrior.
American Ninja Warrior 5[]
Smith debuted at the Miami Qualifiers and was digested. Smith hesitated on the Balance Bridge and took the Monkey Peg slowly but managed to get all the way to the final obstacle. Smith couldn't get up the Warped Wall in any of his three attempts. His closest attempt saw him get a hand on the top of the wall. His result was enough for 24th overall.
In the City Finals, Smith would receive a fully televised run. His pace through the first half of the course was slightly quicker and he nailed the Warped Wall in one attempt. Smith seemed utterly lost on the Salmon Ladder and did not make it very far up it before losing his grip. His fast pace up to that point was enough to place 11th overall.
Smith's Stage One run was digested. Smith was one of the 35+ ninjas to fail the Jumping Spider that night. Unable to secure his lower body into the walls, he slid out, ending his season.
American Ninja Warrior 6[]
Smith returned to the Miami Qualifiers for his second season in a row. His qualifying run was all cut but the events of it would be recapped in his season seven submission video. Smith knew he had to clear the course in order to move on, as thirty people already had cleared. Smith was aiming to have one of the faster times when he slipped on the Dancing Stones. He had used one of his hands to catch himself and complete the obstacle, which led to his disqualification. It was a very frustrating way to go out for Smith as it was a mental mistake that cost him an entire season.
American Ninja Warrior 7[]
Smith's final season took place at the Orlando Qualifiers. His qualifying run was all cut. His result would be confirmed by fellow competitor Jonathan Brown. Smith would get disqualified on a balance obstacle two seasons in a row. This time he was disqualified on the Paddle Boards for stepping in the center of the axis.
