The '''Big Dipper''' first appeared in the Kansas City Qualifying Round of [[American Ninja Warrior 7]]. It consists of a metal pipe on a track and rope ladder. Competitors hold on to the pipe while it slides down the track and time their release in order to grab the rope ladder and pull theirselves onto the mat. Some competitors who didn't time their release right did not go far enough to reach the rope ladder. it's pretty much a modified version of the Slider Drop.
