American Ninja Warrior 12[]
Ben was originally slated to compete in Washington D.C. for his rookie season. However, this could not happen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, he was selected as part of Bootie Cothran's team to compete on ANW 12.
Sadly, his rookie season was incredibly short, as he went out on just the first obstacle, the Shrinking Steps, during the third episode of qualifiers.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Ben competed in the third episode of qualifying this season. His run was fast-forwarded, but he was shown kissing one of his frogs at the start line, and then placing a bet that Matt and Akbar have to kiss his frogs if he finishes the course. This time, he completed the first obstacle, bounding through the first four obstacles with no problem. However, his hands peeled right off on the first bar of Pretzel Twist. Despite this, Matt still took a selfie with one of his frogs. Whitlow also did good enough to advance to the semifinals, as he placed 20th overall. However, he withdrew from the competition for unknown reasons, and so he did not compete in the semifinals.
