Australian Ninja Warrior 3 was the third season of Australian Ninja Warrior. For this season, the show was taped in Melbourne, Victoria (instead of Cockatoo Island, New South Wales during the past two seasons), and premiered on July 8th, 2019 at Channel 9.
The competition for this season was returned to the similar format as on the first season, with 200 competitors participating over 5 qualifying heat episodes, 3 semifinal episodes, and 2 grand final episodes.
The Heats[]
The Heats were run over in 5 episodes, with 40 competitors in each heat. The 18 fastest competitors who completed the course in each heat would advance to the semifinals. If less than 18 competitors completed the course, the competitors who got the furthest and fastest round the course would advance to the semifinals. There was no time limit in the heats.
Similar to the city qualifiers round since American Ninja Warrior 10, the heats on this season also featured the Mega Warped Wall (5.25 meters in height, compared to the regular Warped Wall at 4.25 meters in height), with the same completion rules from American Ninja Warrior 11 (albeit the prize money would not decrease as competitors used up more of the attempts). Competitors who completed the Mega Warped Wall would receive the cash prize of AU$5,000.

The Grand Final[]
The Grand Final was where the remaining 30 competitors from the semifinals would battle it out to become the first "Australian Ninja Warrior" and the cash prize of AU$300,000 (since no competitor achieved total victory during the past two seasons, the prize money had been rolled over to this season).
One additional feature was added to this season's grand final, in which if no competitor achieved total victory, the competitor who made the furthest than any other competitor (also known as the Last Man Standing) would receive the cash prize of AU$100,000.
Just like on the previous season, the grand final on this season was run over in 2 episodes, with the first episode being served for Stage One and the second episode (season finale) being served for Stage Two and so on.
