Ashlin Herbert (アシュリン・ハーバート) is a carpenter from Melbourne, Victoria, who firstly competed on Australian Ninja Warrior.

Australian Ninja Warrior[]

On Australian Ninja Warrior, Ashlin clocked the fastest time in his heat (Heat 2) and semifinal (Semifinal 2). During the grand final, he also clocked the fastest time in Stage One, and he made all the way to Stage Two, before going out on the Salmon Ladder.

Australian Ninja Warrior 2[]

On Australian Ninja Warrior 2, Ashlin once again clocked the fastest time in his heat (Heat 4) and semifinal (Semifinal 1). In fact, he clocked the fastest overall time during the heats and semifinals. During the grand final, he once again clocked the fastest time in Stage One. However, his energetic run ended on the Wing Nuts in Stage Two.

Australian Ninja Warrior 3[]

On Australian Ninja Warrior 3, Ashlin once again clocked the fastest time in his heat (Heat 1) and semifinal (Semifinal 1). Not only he grabbed the fastest time in the heat, he also completed the Mega Wall, becoming the first person to complete the obstacle in that season and would receive the cash prize of AU$5,000. Similar to the past two seasons, he got the fastest time in Stage One, but he would once again fail on the Salmon Ladder as he was disqualified due to the bar derailing off the ladder.

Australian Ninja Warrior 4[]

On Australian Ninja Warrior 4, Ashlin once again clocked the fastest time in his heat (Heat 1) and got to compete in the Power Tower against Daniel Mason. The former won the Power Tower match against Daniel, and Ashlin received the 10-second time advantage. However, in a shocking twist of events, Ashlin failed Sling Shot, the fifth obstacle. Seeing that everyone who qualified cleared the course, he missed out on the Grand Finals for the first time.

Australian Ninja Warrior 5[]

On Australian Ninja Warrior 5, Ashlin stuck to his strategy of going fast, clocking the fastest time in his heat (Heat 2) for the fifth straight season. On the Power Tower, he triumphed against Le Hua, getting a fast forward advantage straight to the Grand Final, and he was seen on the sidelines during the Semis. During the Grand Final, he flew through Stage One, having the highest ever time remaining for a Stage One course, with 1:45.36 left on the clock. On the Second Stage, he kept good pace, but ultimately fell on Dungeon.

Australian Ninja Warrior 6[]

When Australian Ninja Warrior 6 rolled around, despite his injuries from falling off his skateboard mere days before his heat was filmed, Ashlin once again got the fastest time in his heat (Heat 1). However, during in the Power Pool facing his student, Ash Campbell, he shocked everyone by missing the second shelf on the Flying Shelf Grab and was not able to get the advantage to choose his semifinal opponent. During the semifinals, Ashlin raced against Daniel Mason and was easily able to beat him then was also able to beat the entire semifinals course (for the first time since Australian Ninja Warrior 3) and because he got the fastest time, he got the second chance advantage. During Stage One, he raced against Mike Snow which was over quickly as he fell the Launchpad to Eagles Claw and was able to clear the six obstacles with a time of 3:46 left on the clock and moved onto Stage Two. On Stage Two, Ashlin made it past the fifth obstacle (this time being the Spin Hopper to V Formation) and was able to get past the sixth obstacle and finish Stage Two for the first time with the fourth fastest time. On his first attempt on Stage Three, he made it all the way to the third obstacle, the Crazy Cliffhanger with the transition to the fourth ledge ending his best season to date.

SASUKE[]

Herbert would also compete in SASUKE 37, wearing number 43. Unlike his previous runs in the past where he would go fast, Herbert got a slow pace while attempting the First Stage, taking him almost 40 seconds to attempt both the Wing Slider and Fish Bone. Eventually, his time ran out while he was attempting the Soritatsu Kabe.

SASUKE World Cup 1[]

Ashlin would be invited back to Japan to represent Team Australia on SASUKE World Cup 1. He would be the first competitor of his team to run the First Stage for Heat 1, and would put up a fast pace throughout the stage. He would take risky attempts such as heading straight through the Fish Bone and jumping across Twin Dia while the diamonds were further away from one another. Ashlin would clear with the second fastest time overall for the First Stage in 68.4 seconds.

On the Second Stage, Ashlin would race against Kawaguchi Tomohiro on the Spider Climb. He would have a few slip-ups while ascending the obstacle, and it was a really close race. Towards the end however, Ashlin would manage to speed up and hit the buzzer faster than Kawaguchi, guaranteeing Team Australia to move on to the Third Stage.

Ashlin would run Stage Three in Heat 4. He would impressively make a skip on the Flying Bar, skipping the second set of cradles and hopping the bar immediately onto the third set—going from 0 points to earning 20 points out of nowhere. He would clear the Sidewinder as well as Swing Edge, before failing the first transition of the Cliffhanger Dimension, earning a total of 80 points for his team. However, their grand total was 280 points, which was tied with Team Japan Blue, and that wasn't enough to qualify for the Final Stage. as Team USA had 320 points, while Team Japan Red had 300, getting Team Australia eliminated from the competition.

American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. the World[]

Ashlin was chosen alongside the rest of Team Australia in American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. The World 5 and he competed in the second heat of Stage One. Ashlin was able to get the second buzzer in an international competition for Team Australia and he finished with the second fastest time right behind Team USA's Mathis Owhadi getting 1 point for Team Australia. Team Australia had enough points to make it to the Stage Four Rope Climb and Ashlin was chosen to compete against (future American Ninja Warrior champion) Drew Drechsel where Drew was able to beat Ashlin on the rope (even coaching him up the rope after he had won the competition.) and they were shown spraying the beer (that Olivia Vivian had brought up.) on each other, Team Australia would emerge as the runner-ups in this competition.
