Ashley Bergstrom (née McConville) is a 25-year-old who has competed four times on American Ninja Warrior. She is married to Ninja Warrior veteran Caleb Bergstrom.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
Ashley first competed in American Ninja Warrior 11 in Atlanta. Her qualifying run was all cut but it was revealed that she failed Off the Hook.[1]
American Ninja Warrior 12[]
Before the season's modification, Ashley was initially set to compete in Washington D.C. for American Ninja Warrior 12.[2] When the season was modified from Covid-19, Ashley was invited as a part of JJ Woods’s team along with Ronald Washington.
In qualifying she ran for her Uncle David, who has down syndrome. She defeated the second obstacle, this time being the Lunatic Ledges. She then bested the Ring Chaser and Rib Run. On Ferris Wheel, she took the lower route on the second wheel, which took up more of her strength. However, she managed to power through and clear the obstacle. Although Ashley missed her first two attempts on the Warped Wall, she got up on her final attempt and finished the course, becoming the 20th woman up the wall. She placed 2nd among the women, advancing her to the semifinals.
In the semifinals, her run was digested but it was shown that she failed the new balance obstacle, Burn Rubber, and did not advance to the finals.
American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship[]
Ashley also competed on the Women's Championship which was taped during Season 12. In the first round, she failed the fifth obstacle, Sideways, which was not sufficient enough to move on.
American Ninja Warrior 15[]
Ashley was originally invited to compete on American Ninja Warrior 13. Unfortunately, a few days before the qualifiers were taped, she and a few others were exposed to COVID-19, forcing her to withdraw. She also did not compete on American Ninja Warrior 14. However, Ashley would return after a two-season absence for ANW 15.
She competed in the eighth qualifying round. For the first time, she competed under her new married name, Ashley Bergstrom, having married Caleb Bergstrom in the time since her last appearance on ANW. Though her qualifier run was digested, she failed Mutant Mayhem. Nonetheless, she placed 2nd among the women and advanced to the semifinals.
She later competed in the fourth semifinal round, going up against her sister-in-law, Caitlyn Bergstrom-Wright, in the first-ever head-to-head between family members. Both went out on Slingshot, but Ashley got there first, winning the race and earning her first trip to the national finals.
Her run on Stage One was digested, but she failed the second obstacle, Three Ring Circus, ending her best season to date.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Ashley returned for her fourth season in the second round of qualifying in American Ninja Warrior 16. Her run was digested but she failed the third obstacle, Dangerous Waters and didn’t move onto the semifinals, ending her season in the qualifying round for the first time since American Ninja Warrior 11.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Ashley returned for her fifth season in the fourth round of qualifying in American Ninja Warrior 17, alongside her husband Caleb. For the first time, they competed with their son watching them for the first time. Ashley's run was digested, but she got past the third obstacle, which was Block Run, making a close call on the obstacle. She made it to the Battering Ram, going out on the fifth obstacle similarly to season 15. Unlike that season though, it wasn't good enough to make the Top 20. And thus she didn't move onto the semifinals for the second season in a row.
Ashley didn’t compete in American Ninja Warrior 18 due to being pregnant with her second child.
