Anthony Porter is an archery teacher from Chino Hills, California.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
He first competed in ANW 11 in Los Angeles. His run was entirely cut, but he was one of 31 to go out on the second obstacle, Walk the Plank. He didn't advance to the city finals.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Anthony was originally scheduled to compete in Los Angeles for American Ninja Warrior 12. However, due to the season being postponed from the COVID-19 pandemic, he did not get a chance to compete in the adjusted season. Likely to make up for this, he was able to compete in the ANW 13 season.
He competed in Qualifier 2 this season. Although his run was digested, he was shown shooting an arrow at the start line. On the course, he put up a solid run in qualifying, finishing the course with the 5th fastest time. He was one of just seven competitors to finish the course that night. In the semifinals, he competed in the first episode. His run was digested, but it was shown that he failed the Inverter at Split Decision. However, he placed 12th and advanced to the national finals.
His run on Stage One was shown in the preview for the second night of the national finals, where it was shown that he finished with 1.87 seconds remaining. In his first time on Stage Two, he made it to Hammer Drop, but he couldn't get his feet on the pendulum, and thus got slammed down into the water.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Anthony returned for his third season in the fifth and last qualifying episode. His run was digested, but he once again cleared the course, doing so in 15th place. He later competed in the second semifinal episode. After he completed Hopscotch, he shot an arrow at the ANW logo on the booth. He later failed the eighth obstacle, Box Office. Just like last year, he placed 12th overall and advance to the national finals for the second straight season.
His run on Stage One was cut, but this time around due to running low on time, he went for The High Road and jumped to the ring early, then fell backward onto the platform on his head, suffering a mild concussion, and he had to be stretchered out to a hospital.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Anthony competed in ANW 16 in the first qualifier. His run was digested, but he failed on Jawbreakers. He still placed 8th and advanced to the semifinals. In the semifinals, he faced his good friend, Jonah Maningo, and it was a very close race. However, Anthony ultimately lost the race as he failed the Spin Hopper, while Jonah went on to hit the buzzer. This marked the first time since season 11 that he didn't advance to the national finals, as well as the first time he was eliminated in the semifinals.
