Angel Rodriguez is an HVAC electrician from Jacksonville, Florida.
American Ninja Warrior 10[]
It was announced on social media that he was supposed to compete in Miami, but due to rain delays, he had to compete in Philadelphia instead for American Ninja Warrior 10. In qualifying, his run was digested, but he faced little trouble on the first four obstacles. However, he slipped on the Lightning Bolts when he miscalculated the jump to the cradle. His time to that point was still good enough to advance to the city finals as he placed 18th. In the city finals, his run was digested again, but he got revenge on the Lightning Bolts, though he later failed the Captain's Wheel. However, it was good enough to earn a spot in the Las Vegas national finals as he placed 7th.
In the national finals, since he ended up running during sunrise, his run was all cut, but he cleared Stage One with 10.88 seconds left.
His run on Stage Two was digested, but it was shown that he failed the Criss Cross Salmon Ladder, ending his rookie season.
Despite his impressive rookie season, he was not selected to compete on American Ninja Warrior 11.
Trivia[]
- It was mentioned on social media that he and Danny Bergstrom were the only two competitors to be rained-out in Miami for American Ninja Warrior 10, thus having to compete in a different city for the said season.
- Ironically, in Rodriguez's case, the alternate city he was assigned to, Philadelphia, also experienced rain during taping.
