American Ninja Warrior 17 is the seventeenth season of American Ninja Warrior, and the first season after Caleb Bergstrom and Vance Walker's total victories from the previous season.
Casting was announced in early June and applications closed on July 31st, 2024. This document features the current competitors.
It was revealed on social media that this season will have some major changes compared to previous seasons:
- It will be a celebration of American Ninja Warrior’s past, present, and future, featuring iconic obstacles along with many fan favorites ninjas from the past along with the well-known active ninjas.
- The qualifying rounds will return to the six-obstacle course, while the semifinal rounds will return to the ten-obstacle course for the first time since American Ninja Warrior 14.
- All of the rounds were filmed in Las Vegas from September 23 to October 5th.
- However, the most drastic change occurs at the National Finals. The four-stage course will be removed completely, and competitors will race each other Ninja vs. Ninja style. This portion will feature memorable obstacles from the show’s history. In the end, the Ultimate Champion is guaranteed to win $250,000, the same prize money established on American Ninja Warrior 2.
- This is the second time after American Ninja Warrior 12 that the show guarantees a winner.
