Alex Carson is a manufacturing engineer from Kansas City Missouri.
Carson first competed in his hometown in Kansas City in American Ninja Warrior 7. His qualifying run was cut, but it was known that he failed the Floating Tiles after he touched one of the support cables and was disqualified for it.
He returned to compete in Oklahoma City in American Ninja Warrior 8. His qualifying run was once again cut, but he failed the Tire Swing on the dismount. He didn't make it there fast enough to place in the top 30.
He returned to his hometown, Kansas City in American Ninja Warrior 9. In qualifying, his run was cut but it was revealed that he fell at the Bar Hop. This time, Carson went far enough to place in the top 30, placing 19th overall.
in the city finals, Carson got his revenge on the Bar Hop but failed the Floating Monkey Bars. He placed 9th in the Kansas City finals, which also granted him his first trip to the national finals. His run on Stage 1 was digested but it was shown that he failed the Flying Squirrel.
In the city finals, Alex baked some of his homemade cheesecake to Matt and Akbar before running. On the course, he got his revenge on the Spin Hopper but fell on the Clacker, being the only competitor that fell on the obstacle that night, He placed 14th overall, and advanced to the national finals for his second year in a row.
On Stage 1, Carson made a bet with Akbar and Matt that if he gets through Stage 1, they would have to eat his cheesecake.
In Stage 1, he experienced a lot of fatigue on the course, and by the time he completed the Razor Beams, he only had 15 seconds to get through Twist & Fly. He fell on the transition to the second set of handles, making it the second time he failed the last obstacle on Stage 1.
Despite this failure, Matt and Akbar will still seen eating his cheesecake after his run.
Alex returned to compete in Cincinnati in American Ninja Warrior 11. In qualifying, he run was cut but it was revealed that he failed the Spin Bridge. This marked the first time since ANW 8 that he failed to qualify for Las Vegas, let alone the city finals.
