In the history of ANW(American Ninja Warrior), only 4 times has a city finals course had no finishers. ANW 11 Seattle/Tacoma, ANW 11 Baltimore, ANW 9 Kansas City, and finally ANW 8 Philadelphia didn't have a single finisher. and sadly, this is becoming increasingly more common.
Watching a City Finals episode, I'm pretty much always nervous that a course is going to be extremely hard. And on occasion, this does end up happening. Super obstacles(obstacles so extremely hard only the elite can do) are becoming more common. Angry Birds, the prime example, had NO completions. I turned off the episode mid-way through, it was almost inevitable what was going to happen. All I have to say is that these courses have to start having more finishers. I personally think the appropriate amount is 6 finishers. You can disagree, but it's nice seeing a couple of people finishing the course, and boosts the TV viewer's morale. If his/her first episode isn't 2019 Baltimore Finals, and is more of a 2019 Cincy Final Round, this will boost TV viewership, making ANW last longer.
